Panagia Varda (Tsodou Varda)
This monument must have originally been Byzantine. The niche of the sanctuary, large and semi-circular, has characteristics of the Byzantine period. The interior of the church preserves the synthronon, which resembles that of the great monuments of Kastoria, Agios Stefanos and Agios Georgios Politias. The original construction has undergone several interventions, so that not even a trace of frescoes has survived.
The orientation of the church is northeast, although it is not required for reasons of soil morphology. It has a carved wooden post-Byzantine iconostasis in which there are two icons, of St. John the Baptist and Saints Constantine and Helen, painted at the end of the 19th century.
