Discover Mount Vitsi, which reaches 2,198 meters and is one of the primary habitats of the brown bear. The oak and beech forests offer visitors enchanting views, especially in the autumn months, at lower altitudes. As you ascend in elevation, you will encounter alpine meadows where you are very likely to see herds of horses.

Get to know the Korestia. Their location covers the western foothills of Mount Vernos or Vitsi, and the villages are built on the banks of the Ladopotamos River and its tributaries, which are the main water sources of the region. After crossing the beautiful Koromilia Gorge, the river meets the Aliakmonas River in the Maniakon area.

Explore the peaks above Lake Orestiada. On this excursion, you have the opportunity to see the lake and the town of Kastoria from a different perspective. Depending on the season, you can enjoy a panoramic tour of the foothills and mountain peaks that rise around the lake. You traverse the slopes of Mount Vitsi and visit some of its villages, where you will explore the wineries and farms of the area.
