Kastoria on wheels

 Kastoria is the perfect destination for short trips and incredible rides on two wheels to enjoy the natural landscapes.

Starting from the city of Kastoria, head towards the mountain range of Mount Gramos and savor a fantastic mountain route through black pine and fir forests, ascending in elevation through beech trees. Within the dense forest, you will discover Lake Moutsalia in Arrenes. If you look into its green waters, you will spot the alpine amphibian “triton” at an altitude of 1,730 meters.

Starting once again from the city of Kastoria, go in the opposite direction this time, towards the Vitsi ski resort. Enjoy the oak and beech forests and as you ascend to higher altitudes, you’ll encounter stunning alpine meadows. This beautiful route allows you to make stops to enjoy the view, visit picturesque villages, and taste “tsouknidopita” and delicious dishes made with fresh wild mushrooms.
